For sale Ultimaker S5 3d printer

You've probably already done your research, but here is why we bought the unit we did, and why we're selling it.

We purchased 2 of these printers to do a very important print job that we needed to get done in a very small window of time for an areo-space contract. We did a ton of research and picked this particular model due to the fact that it can print essentially every material available to 3d (plastics) printers. We also picked it due to the tight tolerances that were necessary for the job and the double printing head (for running multiple material's at once)

We compared this model to the s7 that is just out from the same maker and decided that this was the best bang for our buck, the new model only offers another camera, and a different door shape. Those changes didn't seem worth the extra 3000+$.

Our intention was to do our job, make the samples and then sell one of the units as we would no longer need 2.

The printer worked very very well. It requires some time to set up an account and download the software, and we found that a swipe of stick glue really helped the base layer to stick.

Included are all the things we bought for the unit, an extra nozzle CC4.0 which we purchased to run PC material and Graphite infused media for super hard, tough parts.

Also included:

Extra rubber tips for the extruders

One almost full roll of media (purple)

CC 4.0 tip

25 adhesion sheets for the glass bed (brand name)

Backup fan (unused)

two sticks of glue

This retailed for just south of 7000$ so this is your chance to purchase this great printer at a discount hardly used. I'll package it carefully and ship it promptly. Any questions please ask via PM.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
