Ultimaker S5 R1 Power Supply Replacement

Posted · Ultimaker S5 R1 Power Supply Replacement

Hey guys,

I've recently run into an issue with my companies S5.  During prints it will shut completely off.  The touch screen is dark and unresponsive.  I then have to power off the unit, via the rear switch, and wait a few minutes.  Then I can power the unit back on.

There are no codes being presented after the power cycling, and the shutoff happens at random times during a print.

I've replaced the motherboard and gotten the firmware/software upgraded to the newest versions.  But after all of that, it still does the same thing.  My guess is the power supply is bad.

We've had this unit for quite some time (almost 4 years),  is there any help on how to take the power supply out, so I can replace it?
