Saving printer settings

I just started using Cura on my Reprap printer. Previously I was using Kisslicer and Printrun for slicing and printing. I was excited that Cura could do both in one program and allow me to arrange and print multiple objects at once (Kissslicer would not allow for multiple objects). I have had a few successful prints, but then I shut down the program. When I reopened it , it popped up with the new user wizard again and all of my settings were lost. I can redo them, but just wondering how do I get them to save. I saved a "profile.ini" file, but that didn't seem to do it. Appreciate any help getting this program to run smoothly.
