  2. I generate a file from Cura 15.06.01 to a SD card.

Then I open the file in my UM2 and get the following warning: "This file will override machine setting with setting from the slicer". If I ignore the warning and continue, it starts printing right away, but temperatures are set to zero, and the head starts moving in the XY plane without moving the build platform up!.

The same STL file works well when I use it under the old Cura software.

  3. It crashes when Wireprint is selected, no matter which object you have loaded.

Apparently this is a "beta feature" so I am not surprised it is not working.

I found other weird things like 'saving to disk' grayed out for no reason, or just hanging after completing calculation (the text 'Calculating' stays there forever). Some options available on the old version are missing here, for instance Split an object in parts is not available. Change the view to 'Layers' takes forever to complete...

I feel the software in general slow and not precisely smooth.

  4. Hola hacalox.

Saludos.

  5. Hi.

Okay, no Ultimaker, but it is a good printer to add to your 3D printer kit (side by side to your UMO or UM2).

I have one Lulzbot TAZ4.1 printer for sale.

It is in very good condition. With original packaging and accesories.

I will ship it to any country in Europe (except Italy).

Price: 1495 Euros, plus shipping costs (please note that shipping weight is 20Kgs!).

  6. That noise is the Z axis moving up one layer.

The noise of UM2 printing is something like this: dseeeeeee-dseeeeeee-CLUNK-----dseeeee-dseeee-CLUNK--etc.....end of printing: WHAAAAAAAAAUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! (the z-axis again moving the bed down! You can hear it from the floor above).

Z-axis noise is definitely a point to improve on UM2 printers.

  7. Hi everybody.

I have an UM2 for sale.

Used just for about two weeks. I was unable to fit the pretty large parts I wanted to print, so I bought another printer with larger base.

I can send it to any EU country.

Please note I do not have anymore the original box. But I can send it well packaged.

Price: 1690 Euro (about 1250 GBP). Plus shipping costs !.

  8. Have you taken a look at the Kudo3D Titan1 printer? It surpases Form1 Speed, size and quality and at cheaper price. The gallery they have at their site is pretty impressive.

They use a DLP projector instead of laser. Resin is not the same though. I believe DLP printers have some issues with clear resins, if this is a concern to you.

  9. Lately there is an invasion of SLA printers from China. Some of them look good and have a competitive price. Currently there is no much information on any of these new printers though. Most rsemble the Form1. Some have larger printing volumes but most are confined to print small parts. Most use the same expensive type of resine and require cleaning and cure.

In your opinion, will SLA printers take a significant share on the home/small office market anytime in the near future? Or are these printers aimed exclusively at professionals in niche markets like jewellry, engineering,...? Do you see in the no so distant future a SLA printer at your desk?
