  1. Please delete my account. As I've lost all faith in security, this website etc.,
  2. As an active forum member I've now lost all faith in this shiny glossy rubbish that @SanderVG seems bent on pushing forth. I now want my account deleted. In the settings page there is no obvious way to do this. ? I feel very sorry as I feel UM have really lost their way. A brilliant concept all open scource, community atmosphere etc., something wonderful in an increasingly competitive world (with arguably better printers in the offing) but they've (imho) missed out on that one aspect which so set them apart from their competitors. Which was the forums. Like minded folk joining together to create a better product. Where is that now? Way to go UM. You mucked up big time with this move.
  3. Ok, I'm feeling I want out of here entirely @SanderVG PM me to let me know how to delete my account please? Mods?
  4. @SanderVG Now your very broken new website has one of my email addresses as my user name. Seriously? As a user and an active member with two of your UM2's I feel a complete lack of confidence in where you're going. Shape up! :-(
  5. @SanderVG Fix the main search engine so it works and returns meaningful results. (Hint - think Google) That's the main one at the top of the opening page which works worse than the little magnifier at the top right. Why? And why have both? Re-instate the friends list so that research & private correspondances from the previous forums are re-instated & intact. They make the forum more of a place to interact with. Get rid of all the pointless white space in this @#*% design. It takes up screen real estate and makes for difficult reading. Points and badges? Are we in Kindergarten? No further comment as I suspect that's your 'baby' :-) Create a "New posts" feature on the front page - which is useful for any users to see what's changed and makes it then easy to sift through current threads. If it already exists, I'm damned if I can find it which should tell you to make it more obvious? I feel this isn't a forum anymore it's just a sort of glossy UM showcase extension? I'll expect the usual reply from you with nothing really being done change wise while "you're listening" but going ahead anyway and putting your own stamp on things (as we'd say in London) "a load of bunny" Why not surprise me? :-)
  6. You really don't listen do you? Just full of company speak...
  7. @SanderVg You just go ahead and do what you want to do without listening to the community. There's no real point to be had in replying to you as you just go-ahead anyway and implement what you want to do. What you're very good at is offering apologies to fed up customers. So stick with just that role and improve matters internally in UM? If this new forum was your idea you really should find something else to do in UM ;-) Just my humble opinion from a few years. :-)
  8. @SanderVg you're doing what you're best at doing. Nothing. Just agreeing and apologising but in a very nice way. :-) I guess you're UM's official 'set up guy' tasked with just "listening" to the community. @SanderVg you should become a politician. :-) @UM Upper management: Part of the great appeal of your machine is the open scource community which supports it. Part of that appeal is a busy, working and creative forum. You had that in full flow, but you've now made it so much more difficult to continue with this pile of crap you've created. Please, UM take note: You'll rapidly loose your edge and your market appeal. There are hungry competitors out there with arguably better machines in the offing. Part of your main strength is your community. That needs an easy to use Forum... I'm not asking for a reply from @SanderVg or particularly value one if any, as I suspect he's company bound. Consider. What a shame that talented forum members are having to spend their time on making this piece of crap more usable in browsers? That's time wasted when we could all be easily talking with each other regarding nozzle issues/improved isolators/improved materials/better feeders/ etc., all of which helped improve your machine. The discussions and research I had on the forums and privately, with various members are gone. Instead "Badges and points" to explore - which moron thought that up? Despite objections. @SanderVg We're not in Kindergarten. Some of us are serious Engineers.
  9. +1 Thanks Daid for telling it like it is. Fully support your view.
  10. UM. Please revert back to the old forum but with a fully working search engine. Next, sack or move those involved & responsible for creating this mess - as they're dragging UM & the community it's built on i]which was/is [/i]very much pivitol to your (UM) appeal, directly into the mire. @SanderVg Easy and so simple. eh? I'd like to think you'll act but I doubt you will. I do hope to be proven wrong. But I just expect the usual more apologies "we're listening" from you which you have become experienced in doing, while just going ahead regardless anyway. Question: what does that tell you?
  11. Please, try to refrain from name calling. Noted and accepted. My apologies for that. Just very frustrated!
  12. Woops "spoiling the hippy happy vive I guess" for gawds sake wise up UM!
  13. Oh hey @Izzy and I've got more badges and points than you if that at matters - not. (Another daft idea @SanderVg)
  14. @Izzy Seriously? How is offering honest criticism to the pile of crap this new forum has become is negative? The damn thing as it is, just doesn't work as easily as the previous forum. The posts we've followed are where exactly? and how do we find them again? I've lost my friends list, I struggle to find the threads I followed and found interesting which matter to me and you're banging on about some rubbish of giving the developers another chance? The only idiot opening their mouth imho is you :-)
  15. @SanderVg. Thank you for your reply
  16. @blizz Confirmed - login isn't remembered despite ticking the box "remember me" There is lots to fix here SanderVg
  17. Thank you SandervG. I'm not enjoying or liking this forum re-design at all so far, it's messy and awkward to find anything. It looks "sleak" & "arty" and that's basically it. As a user, I want to find stuff easily, I want a search engine which works so when I have a problem I can type in "levelling the bed" and bingo! the search engine does its job by pulling up those few posts relevant to my search query. Ideally something like a google like engine so that the user (me/others) can easily find what we're after. Then, we won't get repeated posts asking the same questions, as we did before in the old forums. As a user experience (imho) this re-design currently as it stands, sucks worse than the old forum. But at least you guys are open to taking onboard suggestions. Do please keep that up and act on them? As an aside, "points and badges" seem really pointless to me but hey-ho I'm happy to go with that particular flow.
  18. All my friends have vanished too. That is a real pain as I had quite a few contacts that I'd like to keep up. Can that feature be re-instated? Or, if it's present, where is it? Grrrr.....
  19. I very much miss not having a "View latest posts" that feature in the old forums provided a very useful quick digest of what's changed. Can you please add that back in? On this new forum as is, I'm instead forced to wade through a whole load of stuff and frankly, it just makes me want to give up. Finding anything is a bit of a nightmare. +1 to IRobertl on removing all the white space. It may look "arty" but just takes up way too much screen real estate imho. Overall I feel this re-design as it stands currently, has taken a step backwards in usability for the end user
  20. It was the large "Search Ultimaker Community" engine I was using. I wasn't aware of the little magnifying glass top right. But if that works better, than that's the one I'll use. Thanks :-)
  21. Try the search engine with "custom heater block" Here is the post it should find, but doesn't: https://ultimaker.com/en/modifications-and-hacks/view/8689-custom-heater-block-to-fit-e3d-nozzle-on-ultimaker-2?page=44#reply-99517
  22. Hi TheDeugd, sorry I can't be anymore helpful. All I know is there were threads on those topics which existed in the previous forum - assuming you haven't deleted any threads? Anders Ollson made an alternate heater block which accepts E3D nozzles. I can't find anything on that using the search engine. Illuminarti wrote up an alternate method for levelling the bed. Again, I can't find anything on that with the search engine. It looks like the search engine just doesn't ?
  23. I just tried typing "E3D nozzle", then I tried "Heater block" next I tried "Olsson block" and finally for fun, I tried "Levelling the bed" in each case the search engine didn't pull up any of the posts I know exist. Can you please fix the search engine so that it works ?
  24. Exciting stuff swordriff :-) I'd dearly love to volunteer but we have a house move coming up shortly so I'm not sure I'd be able to thoroughly test the part. I'm not looking forward to dismantling my "man-cave" with all the computers and electronic stuff I have... but more pleasing than tackling all the cr@p in the attic (left overs from last house move) Think I may be hiring a big skip for most of that. Good luck with the testing - I'm sure I'll be buying some from you once "the dust has settled" :-)
