  1. Thanks for the fast answer.

With the Xray view I see some red spots, but they arent on thoose layers with the mentioned problem.

I use a standard 0.4 nozzle, but somehow I saw often a better result in cura with the 0.7 shell thickness than 0.8.

Btw using older cura version 14.12.1

  2. Hello all, can someone please explain me the difference between the two layers on the pictures?

    1.thumb.PNG.5b646f3af1d142c47c49841199c29ea0.PNG

    2.thumb.PNG.3042bf89d4683a957f878b6d651bf33d.PNG

The layer before looks messed up, the lines of the path and everything.

    Cura settings:

    0.2 LH

    0.7 Shell thick.

    0.8 B/T thick

    20% fill

    50 speed

does this affect on the print or is it just cura's display bug?

    Thank you.

  3. Hello,

has anyone tried the Flex1000 filament from ZS 3d PrintShop?

    http://www.3d-printshop.biz/epages/es302973.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es302973/Products/FLEX-1000-PLA

I've buyed a sample filament and tried to print the ulti robot. At least i succeed to print the whole robot from the Third try.

I have read that flex should be printed at high temp and slow.

    - My First try was 20 mm/s on 230°C, didnt printed even the "feets" of the robot

    - Second try was 20 mm/s on 250°C, failed again

after I saw the video on their site and read the comments i tried with

    - 50 mm/s on 200 °C, printed whole robot, but the print was ugly, wihotu any details.

    All three tries without retraction.

compare to my PLA printed robot.

Any advice how to get better results? It is my First try to print with flex filament.

  4. Sorry, I needed to finish fast the models so i just turned off the retract while combing plugin, it solved that problem.

@ignatius im printing for more than a half year and I'm always using the Advanced print profile, i need alot of the paramteres.

@gr5 hmm i didnt knew that i need to set that up in cura. yes, i use the zetoff fan shroud. But the problem is not coliding with other models, the problem is: why is the head going to layer 1 before going to the next part (model)?

all-at-once gives me worse result because there are many parts and the distance between the farest ones is big and there is alot of oozing.

The problem was in the plugin, its still sometimes there, but mostly its doing correctly.

    Thanks for the answers.

  5. Hello,

I have a problem when i want to print one model at a time. After the printer finishes one model it goes to the first layer (bottom) and destroys the model, than it switches to the next model. I had the same problem once before, but it just disappeared alone without changing anything, now I have the problem all the time.

Here is a video of the problem:

And some screens of the cura settings:

I use cura 14.12.1 for a long time.

    Thanks in advance.

  6. Hello,

can someone please give me a link or upload me the setup for cura 14.12.1, i know its a older version but im still using it for most of my prints, im quite satisfied with that version, but now i want to install a clean windows 10 and i need the setup for the 14.12.1 (on the download site there is only 14.12).

    Thanks in advance

  7. I recently tried to print a lithophane and I've got some weird lines in the print.

    here are the pictures:

    the parameters where:

    layer height: 0.2,

    shell thickness: 0.75,

    bottom thikcness 1.2,

    infill 100%

    speed 50

    temp 230/later 220

    bed 60

    Thanks

  8. @DidierKlein

I tried with infill value of 99% and 98%, its the same, lowering it more it disturbs my model.

    @labern

i have zhop (expert settings) mostly off, but on in the retract while combing plugin. hmmm i didnt changed the t/b thickness and i didnt know that it need to be multiplied. My top and bottom thickness is 0.8 in 95% cases, the LH is changing in 0.1/0.15/0.2.

    well thanks for the advices.

in the end i just refreshed few times the slice and it worked well... btw using cura 14.12.1

  9. Hi all,

i have a weird problem with one of my filaments. It just dont want to stick to the plate at first layer. I have more than 100h of print time at my UM2, and never had such problems with any filament, I used this one before too and everything was ok. But now i cant get it to stick to the plate.

    Its this filament:

    http://www.makerpoint.nl/en/makerpoint-makerpoint-mp-abs-750gr-darkblue-transl.html?id=15416559&quantity=1

I tried same models with another filaments and everything was good.

I cant print any model with this...

    http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13237-img-20150308-230630/

    http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13238-img-20150308-231428/

After many of tries the first layer was set but then, just pushed to side after going new layer....3 times:

    http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13239-img-20150308-233243/

    http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13240-img-20150308-234130/

I tried temp from 200°C to 250°C and bed temp from 60°C to 95°C, nothing helps. It says that the filament is ABS but it comes better at lower temperatures from the nozzle, at 250 it comes more white than blue.

Glue dont help too, its the same.

    Please a advice, thanks!

  10. Hello all,

i did not read all the posts but i want to share my experience.

I had once a huge problem to take of my print from the bed. Bed cooled down and the model was really, really stucked to the plate. I never wanted and never used any mechanical tools. It took me lot of minutes to take it off and here is the result:

    http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13169-img-20150113-wa0014/

funny it wasn't even thick. After couple of hours i wanted to print again and wanted first to clean my heat bed because some of the pieces were still on the bed.

I used the master magic tool to clean the plate:

    http://online.konzum.hr/images/products/080/08036050l.gif

After i printed the same model again i wanted to try it.... few drops of the glass cleaner and the model went off almost alone from the plate. On smaller prints i only set few drops on my nail and come with my nail to the bottom of the model. Few drops remove the sticked model.

PS: it doesn't matter if you use glue or not.

  11. Hi all,

can anyone tell me is it possible to avoid the travel oozing lines? I would like that the printer is using retraction on these steps too. I was looking at the retraction settings but nothing. Is there a way?

    Please see attached image:

    http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13168-img-20150303-004156/

They are not always the problem, but i would like to know how to avoid it if its possible.

    Thanks in advance
