  1. how much can be extruded ? shall I go 0.1 or 1mm for each step on the controller?
  2. I know, but the second one below was just an older print to compare with, close to default settings. Noticed in the x-y test the circle is suppose to be round but y was 19.8 and x 19.7. Printed out 2x Ultimaker Belt Tensioner v2.. And the one inside touched the wooden bed frame.. When I removed the tensioner the belt became more even more slack than before.
  3. okej thanks for your tips! This overhang test 30mm/s 198c satisfied me And this was 210c 40 or 50mms cant remember. that was under extrusion ? and too hot
  4. yepp! I thought so. But still I wanna make an easy list with optimal temps for 15mm/s 20mm/s 25mm/s 30mm/s etc up to like 80 so I dont need to do random guessing all time ? Another thought about bridges for example the back head of the robot, depending on size the gap gets wider, then If I print at slow speed it will fail with that overhang then? so it needs to go faster at that point I suppose ?
  5. okey 15.04.4 i got. I guess its best to use same speed at infill walls etc ? feels more stable then or am I wrong?
  6. alright! about the default Fast-normal-high-ulti they all seem to use 50mm/s speed and 210c? I tried the robot on ulti but took cancel cos it was too fast. And when I compare to my 30 it was worse I think. i have the newest updates. defaults arent so good then ?
  7. Ok thank you, so running cold as posible is best? by the way should I install 2 fans? I did a new one at 198c that turned out abit better . And a cup from thingverse But used the "fast" auto this time and it looks good. Noticed "Walls not touching " in some layers during print thought.
  8. Im new to 3d Printing and Its so frustrating to learn all the fine tuning. this guy was made um pla 210c 30mm/s 0 infill. Saw it stringing/blobing etc inside also. And I dont really know how to make a good start either. So I do Brim? gives it time to spit and extrude before reaching my print. are there any "basic" graph to follow that tells recomended parameters for the chosen speed etc? It was abit better when I did it as default size, thought making him larger would be better but no. those symptoms is overhang or?
  9. 99% completed gonna add 3 led lamps etc. I Decided not to use sound isolation.
  10. its starting to look like a box. had to be tall cos of the feeding tube. Think Im gonna paint it white, add legs and so on.
  11. Okay! but still gonna try my idea out first. Started to build A sliding platform on the bottom today. would be more accessible to work with the umo between prints. And a cooling fan for the Electronics board.
  12. I got the idea to build a sound isolated ish wooden box with a glass door. (should have a small gap between). Then put my ultimaker original in it. Also to get more stable temps when printing Abs. Is this a good idea or can the spool filament get over heated in there ? will it damage the electronics?
  13. Right thats what I meant. built my umo+ over christmas. What setup is recomended as retraction? just started with printing so I want to fine polish the quality abit. Also the antennas became slightly blobish as u can see. Do x2 fans help much ? plz Share your experiences ^^
  14. Hi Im trying to make an um robot in high quality 0.06 but when it comes to making the support for its hands. The motor starts to step back . alot .. Annoying . I run in 30mms at 210c same speed for fill also. and just where his legs ends there is a small blob overhang on his left front side. what shall I do to to prevent this from happening`?
  15. but its weird everybody else on youtube seems gets it almost perfekt when it begins Printing. Think its something wrong with my machine then..´ It was a build kit . I can mention one thing the heat sensor for the head was to short (wire). maybe they sent the wrong Cable? I Think it was made for the ultimaker 2 cos for me the Cable end only reached the middle back of my original.. Had to take it out from the tube and install it by a short cut in the front down the right bottom front hole..
  16. Hi When I start A print it comes no filament from the nozzle until like 30seconds in. That screws the bottom layer all the time. But after a while it seems to work OK .. Cos I already printed A robot and now a wrench. But its not top quality. Out of ideas ,
