What I meant was this concept:

    toolclamp.thumb.jpg.9c3316980f93c2ade416c83853a1d382.jpg

This has a flat bottom to print it easily. And the print-lines will follow the curve and be much stronger, instead of being perpendicular and weak due to poorer layer-adhesion.

Yes, the front plate (the label area) might be a bit rougher than if it was sitting on the glass, so it might require a quick sanding, or a quick chemical smoothing, depending on the marker you use for writing. But I think in general this would be much stronger and longer lasting.

that makes sense!, thanks, never tought about it this way.
Will try it over teh weekendZ
    Thanks!

  2. Hi Geert,
    Thanks
But the "flat" bit on the bottom is the marking area and the hole concept of the print.
On this you can write that it is "a 9mm Drill" and store it.
If you need the drill you will have it right away and don't need to measure the tool anymore.
The two arms are a bit spring loaded to hold the "flat bit"

  3. Hi
I have a ultimaker3 and work normally fine.
but i have no a problem that the PLA core is not feeding anymore.
Initially i thought there was something with the reel as the feed wheel was grinding in the core.
Changes the spool and again it happend.
2 Spools and 3 product that on the exact same spot start to get faulty.

The feed unit has been opened to check, cleaned of small dust, knurling on feedwheel is fine, main gear wheel seems fine.
infeed of new material goes smooth

    Anyone who has a clue?

  4. It there someone who succeded in making a working wrench?

i have tried several on the web found but non was working

the offset possiblity was used and that made it a little bit better, but still not working

below picture are top and bottom side

    bottom side is very poor!!

    Machine UM3

    Nozzle 0.4

    Layer height 0.1

    material tried: PLA and ABS

Support either PLA or PVA with the ABS

  5. i have printed with this reel of ABS before and worked fine, but for some reason there is a poor cohesion between the lines

result a, brittle part that is not good

    Table 60°

    Extruder 220°

    Fan Off

    layer height 0.2mm

    speed 3600mm/min

    Nozzle 0.4

    anybody any idear?

  6. You might want to adjust the horizontal expansion so the parts don't intertwine. There's a Cura option for that that I forgot the name (ofc is a hodden option that needs to be unhidden).

thanks, i never know that there was so much hidden "underwater"

do you give a possitive value or negative value to make the holes bigger?

    i assume a +1

or is this trial and errow combined with a bit of good luch :)

  7. Nice, I was thinking about building a Full enclosure for heat and noise purposes. Do you think some ventilation is needed? I worry about getting too hot inside.

some ventilation will be needed, but mostlikly the main purpose is to stop the draft.

as the bed and the extruders are temp controlled they should be able to cope with the hood

  8. hi Sander,

Bed leveling done through the setup with the card

As well as XY setting calibrated etc

PVA setting was mentioned, 220° and 80 on the bed.

I will try tomorrow the PLA/PVA as it looks that ABS/PVA is a non-starter

the printer is standing in a normal office, we have put a cloth over the top with the last two attempt to eliminate the draft and loss of temp.

Glue, we used the 3dlac spray
