  1. OK, thanks...there it is and it's now visible in my list of settings 😉 . The next try stopped printing because of error84 after one day...and I found deformations like an overhang on vertical walls...and the corners lifted up again. I start now another try with a slightly higher bed temperature (90°C) and the build volume temperature set to 50°C (the air manager fan doesn't turn). Additionally I wrapped bubble foil around the device in order to maintain a more uniform temperature. In the end I think it is my design which creates the trouble (large volume). But as it is for a prototype I can deal with small defects. I will search also for reseller in Europe and try the flexible build system from Wham bam.
  2. Hello, many thanks for all the suggestions! I thought that lowering the bed temperature after the first let's say 10 layers would help already, because the big temperature difference between bed and material would cause the deformation. If the temperature would be everywhere nearly the same then there should be only a minimum deformation, even if the part is not designed according to the rules for plastic parts (-> mainly minimizing of high temperature differences withing the structure during the cooling down phase, e.g. in corners). I used different adhesion agents before and the result was always the same (I canceled some earlier builds after it started to bend in the corners). Now I use the glue stick, because I ran out of the other agent. The wet paper method is a really good idea. Following the suggestions of both posts (can the solution be shared?), I'm trying now the following: - increasing the bed temperature to 105°C - closing all gaps with tape (doors) - covering the rear fan (I didn't find the option to set the work space temperature higher) - lifting the model 2 mm in z-direction, which creates a thick layer of breakaway support material, that prevents the direct contact of the part with the hot bed Greetings and have a good day!   3. Hello, I'm printing a large rectangular housing part in ABS. No matter what fill grade or wall thickness, the corners will always start to bend upwards from the built plate after about one day of printing. I assume that the high temperature gradient from the built plate to the current layer is causing this deformation. The adhesion is usually quite good even after the print cooling down at room temperature (before putting it into the freezing chamber). Why is the built plate temperature not lowered to the surrounding air temperature after the completion of the first layers? Thanks for any hint and have a good day! Oliver
  4. Good morning Erin, yes, in fact the PCB board seems to work, because if I install another printcore, this is recognised without any problem. We are thinking about have a little stock of replacement parts (like nozzle covers, springs, printcores) and a second device in order to have a back-up available during maintenance and repair periods.   5. Hello and thanks for the suggestion! We unpacked the new BB core and it looks very clean. I can try cleaning it, but I don't think it will make a difference...see if I can find some 99% alcohol in the labs.
  6. OK...we reassembled the spring with the moving parts and thanks to the support documentation of Erin you can find here, it's very easy to remove the printhead and disassemble everything. The spring fit very well in its original position and with a little care it was easy to reassemble everything again. It might be of advantage, if you have a helping hand doing this ? Below you find the pictures of our manipulation. Now, there is another issue, because the brand-new BB printcore is not recognised by the device. If we place another AA printcore, then it works...but it should be a BB of course...we'll try to figure out how to solve this.

The photo that I posted above doesn't show our device but it is the photo that I found in the fbr8.zendesk link about packing the device for shipping. OK I found a picture of a print heat with an empty BB print core slot on this website: https://fbrc8.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/218370103-How-to-Pack-Your-Ultimaker-3 There I can't see any spring on the upper part. I will post a photo of our situation and try to get that spring somehow placed to where it should belong. I would be happy for any hint about this issue! Thanks and have a nice day! Oliver
  10. Hello, we recently changed the BB printcore. While removing the old one, a spring appeared from the top which is directly in the way of mounting. The spring can be pushed upwards with the lever and then with releasing the lever the printcore can be mounted the way that the spring pushes on top of it. But if I see videos changing the BB printcore, it's much easier and without using the lever. Could anyone post a photo which shows the top of the BB printcore installed? Or give me a hint, what to do with this spring? Greetings and have a good evening! Oliver
