  1. no...  i need to print 1 real object (with 2 material) but for a BUG of Cura, i print a dummy object about 20x20x0.3 mm  with 2nd extruder because cura did not clean 2nd extruder  on fist layer....  So i need to print the dummy object before the real object.....

In my case cura seem to print first the object nearest to the center of bed.

  2. Hi all, i have same problem with cura 4 because cura has a "feature" (for me is a big BUG but....) where the 2nd extruder is not primed in first layer... but i have a 2-in-1 configuration (2 extruder , 1 nozzle)  so i cannot work in this way because when start 2nd material on 1st layer, the nozzle is dirty from 1st material. So i check a way to print a "dummy object" with 1 layer height with material2 so i can clean nozzle.... but cura print real object before the dummy object (useless.....) .

I read this post... for me  the "scan line" did not work... maybe because i have a delta with circolar bed.... but i find a way... in my configuration the "scan line" start from center to external... so i put "dummy" objet in center and "real" objetc near.....

Is a very big problem fro me because my bed become HALF!!!!! but it seem to work.....

  3. i'm making some test with dual extruder and i wanna try cura.. i just made another topic for suggestion about start-stop extruder script , but i see a problem with prime tower, when print start it made a 2line skirt (red) , then an useless base of prime tower with materal1 (red) , then print (correctm, red)  and after it made a  2nd material (white) single skirt line (why??) and after start print white without prime material on prime tower. After this start 2nd layer and seem to be ok... but 1st layer (the layer most important) is wrong....

in the image you can see the prime tower red (fist materal) but you can see NO WHITE material in prime tower (and i need it... white is 2nd material so i need to clean from red)....

How to make prime the 1st layer for 2nd extruder?

  4. Hi all,

i wanna use again my 2 in 1 delta, but now i'm using cura 4 and not understand what i need to script for start and stop of every single extreuder,  there is some sample to use and modify ?

because someone put T0 or T1 in code, other move head in start e back in end script.
Also, when printer start will execute also the start gcode of extreuder1 ? (after the general start gcode i suppose)

thanks to all, please give me some example .

  5. How i can migrate a profile from 4.0.0 to 4.1.0  ?  I create 2 profile in 4.0 but how is possible cura 4.1 cannot use it ?   Also if i create a new profile, how to add a stl of my printer file to see printer and bed inside the preview windows.

backup from 4.0 seem cnnot be used in 4.1 .... why ? are so different  4.x profile ?

i'm a bit confused.... seem ultimaker create useless problem and not solution......

The sidebar plugin will always have to be updated for new versions of Cura. It "patches" specific parts of Cura, and when Cura is changed those patches don't work anymore and have to be redone.

I do think there are still good reasons to prefer the sidebar implementation over the floating panels, so I will release an updated version of the plugin at some point, but there are some complicating factors at the moment.

Please please make plugin for 4.1.0.   New gui if possible is more stupid than 4.0.0....

I'm really do not understand how is possible someone think is a good gui.  Is also very slow but I think you cannot solve it....

  7. please @ahoeben be fast. Ultimaker maybe great for printer, good for slicer (4.1.0 update forget ALL my settings....) but for GUI are very bad.
4.0.0 was very stupid gui (and SLOW)....  made 4.1.0 optimal is very simple.... 4.0.0+sidebarguiplugin+FAST.... and what is 4.1.0 ? another stupid SLOW interface with a window overlap "slice" button and layer slider....
But they make cura slicer at work and then home use simplify3d for own printer ??? did they tried to use ?

    mah.....

  8. i think to have find a BUG, when i use 2 material (1 nozzle with Y bowden) on my anycubic kossel plus (marlin 1.1.9) option to "print  sequence" (the way to print 1 object  completly then another) disapper...  why ? i think is becasue i must use 2 prime tower in this way ?

    BUT

This appen also when anyway i use only 1 material.... for example only material from extruder 2... (i have 2 different extruder motor 1 mk and 1 bmg dual....sometimes 1 is better than other)

I have no information on your exact dimensions and so on but take a look at

Support X/Y Distance (get it visible if not) and try to put in it a greater distance (1.5mm)

This will prevent a support to be too near from the object on the x and y axis, as it appear to be in your problem

    i'm on a 12h print, after i'll try.
the part in my image is:

if someone wanna try.  I'll check later

  10. Hi, i see this problem also in other slice, in cura sometimes there is support column when no need, this is an example:

in this case the problem is the stringing effect between the real 3 part and the "no need" support column between...  How i can manage this?

I got same problem also with other part, in similar condition, 2 hole near each other but i do not want cura make it, it useless.

  11. Sorry for my English

I mean, in the interface I wanna have not a simple round plate (I have a delta printer) but I wanna import an stl of my printer to have an eye of printed part inside.

This is useful for better understand position of objects from my eye, to better rotate It and see difficult printed part better.
