  1. I have been getting the error below the past few days. Doesn't tell me which material run out (because neither material has run out)..

I am not sure how to trouble shoot this or what could be causing this.  Its seem to be on the PVA since every time I "reload" it after the error I am able to continue printing.

    Any ideas?

Funny thing is that it doesn't tell me which one run out..

    Thank you

  2. Sorry I did not know where else to post this question:

being a printdry owner, I just got a Polybox because of its smaller form factor.  Naturally from what I understand the printdry is a dehumidifier and it plugs into the wall etc. The Polybox on the other hand just run out of a small cell battery (that is supposed to last for 3 months), it is filled with two large desiccant bags and it is supposed to keep my filament dry while printing and storage.

I gather that the printdry is heating up the air inside its chamber and heating up the filament so that it releases and absorbs moisture. How does the Polybox work or what does it attempt to do in contrast?

    Thank you

  3. I appreciate that they dont want ti include it, but honestly when customers spend $$$ on equipment aimed at prosmer or professional environments they need to reevaluate they thinking.

I run a business and the S5 is part of that operation. If a chinesse printer has this info, and formlabs does, (so does aleveryone else) why cant ultimaker give its customers what they want , need and seems to be a standard piece of information.

Layers is how a printer prints, so show what layer you are printing.

I would want to drive a car that doesn't show me how fast its going in MPH or KPH and that only says, "slow and fast".

  4. I think having the current layer / out of if basic information any printer should have especially the S5 being a production aimed unit. The more I more with it and the more information I have the better I can manage the production of prints and manage risk.

    Here is an practical example:

You print fails or there is an issue at a give z height at hour number 28/34 , then you can stop the print, remove the part and start a new print from that given layer onwards.  Natually you will have two pieces to glue together but this is a typical scenario of how this information can be useful.

There is all kinds of scenarios for why this information is useful.

  5. That is what I thought in regards to the side finish being a little "rough"

I do have the CC core, but I have to say that I am a little disappointed that they made it a 0.6 mm and not a 0.4mm

you can really see the rounded corners compared to a similar print with the regular AA 0.4mm core.

do you know if NylonG is has any smoother surface finish, or regular nylon for that matter?

    Thank you !

  6. I have a CC core on my UM5 and have downloaded the CURA material profile.

I am printing with a brim as always and using a product called PRINTASTICK - from APRINTPRO.

The am getting some wrapping on the part edges on all size of parts, from parts as small at 2-3 cm to 10 cm.

I am looking for ideas and recommendations to start using this material successful and for larger builds.

Does the fact that I am not running a top cover be the number one cause of this?

should I be using another adhesive - can someone please recommend one?

Last but least, are the sides of Nylon prints, as opposed to ABS, PLA and other plastics typically feel a little abrasive?

    Thank you
