  1. Hi, Ultimaker community, I'm having trouble when importing material profiles from a xml file; specifically, I'm trying to import a BCN3D Tough PLA printing profile. I got this profile by exporting it from BCN3D Stratos, which is basically a modified Cura for BCN3D. First of all, printing temperatures don't correlate in Cura to what they are in Stratos. In Cura, for a 0'2 mm layer height, they get as low as 175ºC, while in Stratos it's always 210ºC. Also, build chamber and plate temperature aren't the same either. I'm attaching some screenshots about that. Secondly, layer heights vary. While in Stratos I can choose between 0.15, 0.2 and 0.3 mm, in Cura it shows a wider range (Visual, Engineering, 0.06 mm layer height, etc.). Strangely enough, other materials only offer in Cura one layer height profile. Finally, I can't sync this BCN3D material to my Ultimaker S5; even though Cura says it's already synced, this material doesn't appear in the printer, so I basically can't use that profile, as the S5 won't recognise that material. Moreover, if I try to sync them by USB, the printer doesn't recognise the .umm file. Thanks in advance P.S. My UMS5 firmware is 8.1.2. BCN3D_Tough_PLA_Black.xml.zip
  2. Thank you both for your help! I tried first heating it up and it went off in one piece, so it wasn't necessary to use acetone; I imagine it can be helpful in more severe cases. Anyway, I realised that the Print Core 1, where it all happened, doesn't fit with the silicone cover so good as in the Print Core 2, as number 2 is a little bit lower than the first. That said, I imagine it's easier to have head flooding in the first one rather than in the second. So, do you know if there is any other option to protect better the first printcore? Like a tighter silicone nozzle cover? Thank you again, PS: kudos for your video gr5! Nice to see and very helpful!
  3. Dear Ultimaker community, I've had a problem related to backflow after printing with ABS in an S5; the part didn't stick to the bed, and before I could realise ABS had already gone up through the gap between the nozzle and the silicone covers. Fortunately, it seems that is has only reached the nozzle. I'd like to know, is there any guide on how to clean that plastic? How should I proceed without damaging any part? Thank you
  4. Dear community, I'm having some trouble while importing 3mf to Cura; specifically, I don't get anymore the option to decide whether to import only models or to do it as a project, as it directly does the first, applying the current settings to the part. This way, I'm losing all the modifications I did previously, that is, material, layer height, temperatures, adhesion, etc. Strangely enough, this only happens if I save as a 3mf from "Slice" option in the bottom right, but not if I do it from the "File > Save project" route. So, I guess that by doing this the first way I'm not really saving the project? Can I recover the lost setting data? I hope somebody can help me
  5. So I understand that Cura has two versions depending on OpenGL, one with full functionality and other that works for older versions, that lacks those features that I said. Is that correct? Which OpenGL version is the minimum required for the full funcionality?
  6. Not necessary to do so, it's the only card I've got in my computer. I'm trying to make it work, but nothing new at the moment. If anyone comes up with a new idea, or gets some interesting info, please let me know!
  7. Hi guys, Thanks for your help. You were right in the case of the two extruders, that's okay for now! Anyway, related to the other two problems, I was also suspicious of my OpenGL version. I've tried to find which version I'm using, if I'm using that "legacy" mode, or if my graphic card (Nvidia NVS 300) actually supports newer versions, but I can't find any info (I'm quite new at this 😅). May you give me some instructions to follow to work it out? Thank you!
  8. Dear community, I would like to get some help with Cura software. Recently, I downloaded last version (5.2.1), but I have found some bugs in my computer (Win10 64 bits): There is no button for selecting the surface to put on the plate (Image 1), some advanced options do not appear (Image 2), and some new features do not appear either (Image 3). I have tried uninstalling, installing again, trying older versions like 5.1, 4.11 or 4.13, deleting the "/AppData/Roaming/cura" folder, updating the graphics card controller... but nothing seems to work. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance. Image 1: Image 2: Image 3:
