After two months of searching and thinking about the necessary materials, I have already purchased 80 percent of the materials. I recently came across the part, 3D printing. With a father as an architect, I am lucky to be able to use the 3D printer (ultimaker S5) for my project. I don't have a technical background myself, so this is really a challenge. The first parts were printed and I quickly noticed that there were a few glitches during the process. I solved that myself by watching videos. The 3D printer does its job, now we still have to do the technical part of the settings of the 3D printer and the files in thingoverse. I downloaded 2 files in stl on a USB and then printed them with my ultimaker S5, but the first part that I wanted to print did not come out nicely. The holes for the screws were not 100% and then the second part did not print the last part, which caused a height difference and that cost filament. All the parts I designed were made in the Fusion 360 app. If you could help with this, I would like to put all the files in a document and see if the parts are all correct. It is a box that I want to print. Here is some more information about my settings now: Core print 1 —> AA0.4mm white tough PLA Core print w —> BB0.8mm red PETG Now I have had to change the support to core-print 1 (AA0.4mm) white tough PLA, because my filament red PETG 2.85mm thick is too thick to run through the core-print 1 AA0.4mm. Now I have read that the core print BB0.8mm is not intended for printing the base, the BB core prints are for the support layer. If you have experienced any problems with this, which core board would you recommend for the ultimaker S5? Goedemiddag beste RS team Twee maanden geleden ben ik op het idee gekomen om een DIY project van start te laten gaan, het construeren van een elektrische efoil. Na twee maanden zoeken en denken over de benodigde materialen , heb ik reeds 80 procent van het materiaal aangekocht. Sinds kort ben ik aan het onderdeel gekomen, 3D-printen. Met een vader als architect, heb ik het geluk dat ik de 3D-printer (ultimaker S5) voor mijn project kan gebruiken. Zelf heb ik geen technische achtergrond, dit is dus ook echt een uitdaging. De eerste onderdelen werden geprint en ik merkte al snel dat er paar storingen waren tijdens het proces. Die heb ik dan ook zelf opgelost door het bekijken van video’s. De 3D-printer doet zijn werk, nu nog het technische gedeelte van de instellingen van de 3D printer en de files in thingoverse. Ik heb 2 files in stl gedownload op een usb en daarna afgeprint met mijn ultimaker S5, Maar het eerste stuk dat ik wilde afprinten is er niet mooi uitgekomen. De gaten voor de schroeven waren niet 100% en dan het tweede stuk heeft het laatste deel niet afgeprint, waardoor er een hoogteverschil in zit en dat heeft filament gekost. Al de onderdelen die ik heb ontworpen zijn in de app Fusion 360 gemaakt. Als jullie hierbij zouden kunnen helpen, zou graag eens al de files in een document zetten en kijken of de onderdelen allemaal kloppen. Het is namelijk een box dat ik wil afprinten. Hier nog wat informatie over mijn instellingen nu: Core-print 1 —> AA0.4mm white tough PLA Core-print w —> BB0.8mm red PETG Nu heb ik de support moeten veranderen naar core-print 1 (AA0.4mm) white tough PLA, omdat mijn filament red PETG 2.85mm dik te dik is om door de core-print 1 AA0.4mm te lopen. Nu heb ik wel gelezen dat de core-print BB0.8mm niet bestemd is om de basis te printen, de BB core-prints zijn voor de support layer. Als jullie hier enige problemen ook mee hebben ervaren, welke core print zouden jullie mij dan aanraden voor de ultimaker S5? In verband met de instellingen van de ultimaker cura app, heb ik een video bekeken en daar werd mij vooral verteld: dat de snelheid van het printen een belangrijke rol speelt, de temperatuur van de core-prints, kijken dat je het juiste filament hebt gedetecteerd, voor een beter resultaat kan je een glue-stick gebruiken op het printbed,..

Hey Alfons dankjewel voor je snelle reactie en het was wel degelijk de core print dat het probleem was. Nu werkt het perfect na de juiste instellingen.

YouTube already did helped me out. in the beginning I used the core print 1 AA0.4mm and core print 2 BB0.8mm, after printing a little piece of my waterproof box. the core print was to thin so I switched to the core print 2 BB0.8mm. I already called a company that tells me that that can be the problem because normally they use the BB core print as the support layer of your 3D prints, but that is the solution I have tried. I don't have a core print AA0.8mm, but I am going to buy one so I hope the problems will be fixed.
