Posted · Can i use cura on my prusa i3?

Hi!

Im new into this 3d printing, and i just got a prusa i3 in a gift (the printer is builded when i got it).

- so my question is, can i use the cura software to print on my prusa i3?

    Hi!

    Since the last version doesn't have the Prusa profile, and as you are just starting with 3D printer, I recommend you to download a previous version (The last I have used is version 15.02.1).

    The other way is to create a profile for your printer on the new Cura, looking at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\resources\settings" (or equivalent on another OS)

    Hi Stef,

    Regarding to your message, you just need to move the profile file to the directory I said before.

    You should also probably take a look on RepRap wiki and forums to learn more about 3D printing, or even here at Ultimaker forum you will be able to find a lot of useful information to start printing.
