Posted · Feeder sounds like a siren

Hi so I have been having under extrusion problems for a while. I have tried different types of PLA, ABS, cleaned using the atomic method, tightened and loosened the feeder. This morning while reversing material (change material function) the feeder started to sound like a siren, and even when the material had been moved it was singing but the wheel was not moving. Im pretty confident to take the thing apart. Has anyone experienced this?

The siren sound the using the change material function is normal. It's what the feeder sounds like at high speed.

I don't understand what you mean by singing but wheel not moving.

I know it makes a high pitched electric motor sound, but this was something different and rather loud. The singing comment is about the feeder had stopped turning, the material had been removed and still the motor was singing loudly.
