Belt Cleaning?

I had a question about maintaining the belts, I wonder if dust accumulation inside the teeth of the belts could degrade performance?

I don't know how to clean it, perhaps remove the belts every so often and rinse them in water. That does seem like a unpractical and tedious process but I can't think of anything else.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Just use an old tooth brush and scrub them in place.

For all the work involved to remove them and clean them you might as well just leave them till you need to replace them.
