Material Change Issue

When I change materials in my Ultimaker 2+ the feeder breaks the material off when trying to pull it back. This leaves the feeder tube full of material which causes more problems when trying to load a new material. Is this a common problem? Any suggestions to keep the material from breaking?

I think it's PLA ?

That's a problem with some filament.

Follow the step "2. Removing the bowden tube" in https://ultimaker.com/en/resources/18781-atomic-method

Remove the filament and fallow the step "5. Re-assembling"

Yes it's PLA. This should help, I'll try it next time I change material. Thanks!
