Printing error with Cura 15.02.1

Hello everybody,

we have some experience with Cura software and printing with Ultimaker but this is the first time we have this kind of problem:

- we imported the CAD file as .stl into Cura 15.02.1 and after making the print settings we generated the printing file g.code

Note: We are not using the new version of Cura 15.04.6 because we couldn`t use the maximum printing size and in the old version we can. This must be a bug?

- we directly went on to print (see Photo_1) and just at the end of printing, the printer left out a few layers and wasn't able to finish the print.

-To check if this was a file problem we imported the g.code again into Cura 15.02.1 to see the printing simulation. There we discovered that the layers are already missing at the same point where the printer did miss the layers, although the CAD file is one closed shape.

Someone had this problem before? Thanks :)

Just like peggyb already pointed out that when it shows red it means the model has errors. If you want a quick fix then run it through MakePrintable. You can also download Netfabb or another option is meshmixer.
