Can you dump the logs to USB stick to analyze?

Use System -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Dump logs to USB to make this happen.

Check for messages about the mjpg-streamer starting (or failing to start).

If this service cannot be started, we'd like to know.

    The line

    Jan 01 01:00:35 ultimakersystem-ccbdd30015e6 mjpg-streamer[241]: MJPG-streamer [241]: HTTP TCP port.....: 8080

tells me that the streamer is listening to port 8080

Can it be a router/switch/firewall that prevents you from connecting to port 8080?

IF you can try to telnet to the machine on port 8080:

    telnet 8080

    it should return with

Trying ...Connected to .Escape character is '^]'

    If it fails to connect:

Trying ...telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

In the latter case, something on you network is blocking access to port 8080 on the printer.

Telnet ok, but streaming from api or Cura isn't working.

    That's really a strange one.

Can you send a full log?

We'd like to see the kernel messages as well, maybe that will give us a hint of what's going wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

Also, if you have just turned on your printer, is the stream accessible / working when using the API directly:

    http://:8080/?action=stream

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
