Specs on electronics blower fan?

Anyone know anything else about it, other than it's 24v?

The # on it doesn't seem to return me anything via google. Before I start just taking measurements and trying to match something online I figured I'd ask.

The one I have is howling like crazy.

why it's 24V if it's powered via L7812?

Well I dont know which one you have, but mine says

AV-7525M12s

DC 12v

Brushless Made in China

on the back...not sure why yours is 24v ?

The newer version PCB's (I think 1.5.7 and higher) use 24V for the blower to ensure good cooling for the stepperdrivers and especially the MOSFET. Older versions use 12V.

where is it written on the board, which version it is and is there a performance difference between the latest board and say a 1 year old setup ?
