Cura 2.5 and Octoprint Plugin

Recommended Posts

It appears something changed between Cura 2.4 and 2.5 that has broken the OctoPrint connection plugin from https://github.com/Ultimaker/UM3NetworkPrintingPlugin

Everything works perfectly with Cura 2.4 and the plugin shows up in the plugin list in Cura 2.5, but the OctoPrint button doesn't show up in the Manage Printer screen for the activated printer like it does in Cura 2.4. That obviously doesn't allow the configuration of, and connection to, OctoPrint.

Is there something I'm missing or is this now broken?

Cura 2.5 has lots of nice new stuff but I don't think I can do without the direct OctoPrint connection.

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
