Is printing 1.75mm filament officially supported on UM2+ or UM3?

Posted · Is printing 1.75mm filament officially supported on UM2+ or UM3?

I understand that it's VERY easy to print 1.75mm filament with no hardware modifications, but does Ultimaker condone or condemn this behavior? I don't want to void my warranty and I don't want to experience a decrease in print quality, but I have boxes of 1.75 I would like to be able to use.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

    It's not that simple. Those users who print 1.75mm on their Ultimaker did in most cases some quite substantial changes to the printer (e.g. new feeder, different hotend, swap the Bowden tube). Please search the forum for reports and threads about such projects.
