Pruse Mk3 Settings?

I recently got a new printer, and have been using the included software for slicing, and I don't feel the software is up to the job. I stopped using Slic3r when I discovered CURA years ago.

 

Is there some god starting place for CURA settings? There's S3D packages everywhere, but I really want to stick with CURA if possible. There's already ~8,000 Mk3's out there, so there should be SOME demand.

the profile does not allow me to just go into cura and add printer Prusa I3 MK3 . How to add printer as a PRUSA I3 MK3?

I'm also having issues getting Cura connected to my mk3. Been trying for a few days now. Simplify3D just doesn't cut it for me.

+1, for some reason I can't get CURA to talk to any of my printers over serial.

 

I *had* disabled serial printing since I was using S3D initially, but I re-enabled it to no avail.

Not sure how it changed but when I just updated the mk3 firmware Cura can see it now.
