Not sticking

Posted · Not sticking

I am new to 3D printing and using CURA 3.2.1.

My printer is a Monoprice 3D mini printer.

Printing on painters blue tape which I like doing.

I have tried glass but not for me so far.

I have had some success printing some items.

The item I am having a problem with is

Babybob, getting the bottom of the banana to stick is my problem using Cura version 3.2.1 there is no support

Most likely because I do not know how to set up.

Using Cura version 15.04.6 It has supports but I think Cura version 3.2.1 dose a better job.

You must clean the blue tape with isopropyl alcohol.  Also known in some places as "rubbing alcohol".  Just put a squirt of alcohol on a tissue and wipe the blue tape for just a few seconds.  This removes the wax coating that prevents the tape from sticking to itself but also keeps parts from sticking to the blue tape.

More info here on how to get your parts to stick even better but this alone (alcohol) will help a lot:
