Cura 3.3 doesn't offer to specify COM3, won't connect

Cura seems great and I'd like to try it, but all the "How to connect" videos I see on youtube refer to a communication port field which i do NOT see in the Printer Setup window on Cura 3.3

It just says that the printer is not connected and won't offer either:

- a way to connect

- or a place to specify that it is on COM3

The Cura 3.3 manual seems to show a "Machine Settings" screenshot that is not what I'm seeing in my Cura 3.3 (see attachment)

So, how do I:

- connect?1356888109_3D-Cura-problemsconnecting.thumb.png.12f3976594586d62a5329744a77b809b.png

- or indicate that my printer is on COM3?

The user manual only talks about "network connect" through Wifi... I'm trying to connect by USB.

* I did say yes to all the drivers installed during setup.

** I did check with my printer's connection tester that, physically, the computer is able to connect to the printer. It does connect, but not through Cura. It also connects through Repetier HOST. Been using repetier for 2 years, connects fine, but new version crashes all the time, so time to move on.

*** I'm using MakeGear M2, which is not in the printer presets, but I'm using a json profile made by another makegear m2 user, for a previous version... admittedly, but I understand it only relates to things like bed size, extruder size, or is the port part of it? I don't believe my printer has wifi, so I guess I cannot use network connect? or can I?

Ultimaker Cura 3.x has no manusl port selection (yet). The old Cura (15.x) did. It may still return in a future build, but USB printing has no priority for Ultimaker because it is not the officially supported way to print with Ultimaker printers.
