Request for help - building Cura on Windows 10 with VS 2017 + VC 2014

I'm trying to build Cura on a Windows 10 VM and have installed the community edition of Visual Studio 2017 along with the 2014 build tools.

 

The build is failing when trying to build python with messages like these:

I don't normally use Windows so this is all foreign for me.

Has anyone any suggestions as to what is required to fix this?
