Tree Support get Hit

I like the idea of using the Cura Tree supports for my prints. But it seems any time I try to use them they nozzle ends up hitting the supports as it's printing. It doesn't do this with the other supports and I have all the options to avoid prints and supports checked. I end up losing my prints cause it hits it enough times that it knocks the print lose from the bed or breaks off the tip of the tree before it is completed. Any help would be really appreciated.
