Ich hatte mich auch schon ein paar mal an flexiblen Material versucht. "Gut" geworden ist dabei nur ein Modell bei dem ich kein Stützmaterial brauchte. Das Nachlaufen des Materials hab ich mir so erklärt. Wenn Flexibles Material vom Motor durch den Schlauch zum Printcore gedrückt wird, bildet die Düse einen Widerstand und das Material wird gestaucht. Hört der Motor auf zu fördern befindet sich noch Druck auf dem Material und es wird weiterhin durch die düse gedrückt.
Jetzt gibt es bei Cura die Funktion einziehen. Dabei wird das Material vom Motor zurückgezogen um ein nachlaufen zu vermeiden. Hier bin ich jedoch noch nicht so weit gekommen durch ausprobieren die optimale Einstellung zu finden.
Den Abbruch deines Drucks kann ich mir durch den Durchfluss Sensor am Ultimaker 5 erklären. Drucke selber mit dem Ultimaker 3 und hatte bei weichem TPU immer das Problem das der Motor das Filiament nicht durch den Schlauch drücken konnte. Wahrscheinlich weil die Reibung zu stark war. Der Motor ist dann einfach durchgedreht oder das flexible Filiament ist weggeknickt und blockiert bevor es in den Schlauch ging. Da der Motor dann dreht aber der Durchflussmesser kein Materialfluss wahrnimmt denkt er die Spule wäre leer und bricht ab.
Eine Lösung hatte ich im Endeffekt nicht. Hab sehr langsam gedruckt. Da lag dann die Erfolgsrate bei ca 50 zu 50. Zum weiter ausprobieren bin ich dann noch nicht gekommen.

New features
Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
