Posted · Got the new old printer (v1)...

you should be a lot more happy than sad !

I have an ultimaker 1 at home in my office. tuned and oiled and printing every single model i put on SD card...

all you need is keeping things tight and the metal axis oiled and you have yourself an amazing maschine in your hands !!

you should say.. yipppeee I have a brilliant 3d printer !!

    Dude I'm in your shoes (3 week old Ultimaker 1) but honestly no one should be upset about the Ulitmaker 2 coming out. The UM1 does almost everything the UM2 does and is more tweakable (and cheaper)! Though I have to admit the new extruder and hot end look lovely :).

    Also remember that the UM guys have vowed to keep updating the UM1 so its far off from being a dead platform. Stop worrying about it and get printing!
