UM 2+ buildplate stops about 22 mm lower than printhead

I recently bought a secondhand UM 2+ (my first 3dprinter). Everthing worked pretty well and I made several nice printx But at the latest buildplate-calibration the buildplate stopped about 22 mm lower than the printhead. Tried several things: factory reset, update firmware, etc. Should I move/raise the buildplate manually by adjusting the hardware or is it a software problem?

You mean that it happens when you start the build plate calibration, at the first step? That's normal and intended behaviour. Use the menu wheel to adjust the rear position and the thumbscrews for the front left/right position.

Thanks Robert, I kept turning the thumbsrew in the back (instead of the menuwheel); that clearly didn't work. Because of this stupid question I'd better create a new userprofile. Thanks again.
