printer not reachable (but streaming is OK)

Posted · printer not reachable (but streaming is OK)

Since very recently, I often receive this message from Cura Connect. I wondered whether this may be a hardware issue of the LAN network (the printer is hardwired with Ethernet). However the video stream from the webcam continues to work OK even when the printer is supposedly "unreachable". Hence I now suspect a firmware issue/bug. Any ideas?

    I have the same problem...

We have two UM5s running in a group. The host printer acts normally, the other printer has the issue you described.

Cura can't send jobs to the unreachable printer, but the live stream can be viewed in Cura. The host printer also cannot see the slave printer when viewing it through a web browser.

If the slave printer is power cycled, it will connect to the network and become reachable for a few minutes.

The slave printer shows as connected in the network screen on the printer.

If the IP address of the slave printer is typed into a web browser, the printer shows its home page and will indicate that it is connected to a group.

Printer firmware version: 6.5.2 on both printers

Were you able to find a solution to this issue?
