Cura Extremely Slow Performance

Hi,

I am using an Ultimaker 3 and and Ultimaker S5. Connected over Wi-Fi mostly.

For over a year now Cura is super slow. As soon as I load something in every input has a 10-20 sec delay.

I have tried connecting the printers over LAN, updating and reinstalling Cura, Logged in or logged out of Ultimaker Cloud.

Source of the loaded part, local or network makes no difference.

PC performance is not the issue, CPU/Memory is not even slightly used while the lag spikes happen. High-end system anyway.

Somebody has an idea why this is happening? I am guessing Cura is somehow timing out stuff after parts are loading in and is somehow trying to load and failing every time I make an input.

Cheers

Olsen

In the last few weeks a few people posted about slow Cura and how they cured it by disabling one of the plugins that was using the network to search for printers or something.  You don't have to remove the plugins but you can simply disable them (somehow).  I know almost nothing about this - this is just a hint of what to try.
