Posted (edited) · retraction spends 20~30% of the print time

Retraction seems to spend 20~30% of the print time.  I always disable Retract at Layer Change. Retraction is generally faster than printing. And checking the gcode file with S3D showed that there is only one retraction on each layer.  Why does it still spend so much time? Thank you for your comments!

    Could be also 2%

    Or 57% on a retract test part

    Without the sample part your question doesn't make sens. And as your time estimation shows only  a Outer wall without Inner Walls , I can say it's clearly not a conventionnal part or usual settings parameters
