Posted · CR-10S Cura 3.6.0 work, anything newer does not.

I have been using the Ultimaker Cura for a while now but cannot get any version after 4.0 to see my printer.   Cura 3.6.0  see my CR-10S (marline 1.1.9) extruder and bed , see it on COM3.  I updated the firmware several years ago for a BL touch but never got it to work, it would lower the touch probe during printing and know the print off the build plate.

 

I just installed 4.11.0 and it find a printer on COM3 (after about 30 second after starting). but it does not communicate to the print.  I cannot move the axis or preheat.  It also does not see my bed heater (yes Heated build volume is checked).

 

Any idea?

        Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
