Ah, this is a difficult issue to troubleshoot.
It can be a great number of things.
Do you have a solid set of reproduction steps?
If so, do you mind installing the Extensive Support Logging plug-in and share the zip fil with us if you run into the issue?
I'll also check with the team what kind of information we need and keep a close eye on similar issues coming in.
Cura 5.1 not responding to the mouse (on Windows-10)
Please find enclosed the requested .zip file.
The issue is immediately after starting up Cura 5.1
Still no solution?

Oh gosh I must have overlooked this. 🙈
Thanks for the bump! 🤛
I'll have someone from the team look at your logs. 🤞
Still no solution?
How long does it take to find a solution?
I still have the same problem, very frustrating.
Hey @Who2022,
I've had someone from the team comb through your logs but they can’t find anything that looks like it could be related to the mouse not working. Sorry about that.
I'm at a bit of a loss at how to help you. Maybe these questions help.
Am I seeing correctly that it worked before and suddenly stopped working?
Could this be related to something else that happened on your device?
Did you install a new program or driver?
Are there any other programs where the mouse stops working?
Is Layer View Compatibility mode turned on in Cura (you can see this in preferences)?
Am I seeing correctly that it worked before and suddenly stopped working? Correct
Could this be related to something else that happened on your device? Not that I know

I have just downloaded Cura 5.1.1 and all is working perfect now.

Does anyone know how to make my mouse work in Cura 5.x.x? I have installed and uninstalled every version of Cura from 5.0 to current. No other programs are affected. The last version that the mouse worked in was 5.0. I have searched high and low but can not find an answer.

I ran into this today on Linux (Fedora 37). The mouse worked, but I couldn't use it change the viewing angle, zoom, etc. In fact all of the view buttons on the lower left just locked up.
After some fiddling, I figured out what I did wrong. There's a plugin called "Camera tool" which I thought was for connecting to a real camera that's pointing at the build plate, but is in fact software that allows you to change the viewing angle, etc. When reviewing the extensions I had enabled for Cura, I decided to turn off the Camera tool because I don't have a camera on my printer. I disabled some other extensions as well, so it took me some time to put two and two together to figure out where I messed up.
So for me, I just needed to re-enable the Camera tool via the Marketplace button, and all is working again.

Having the same exact issue on Mac (Monterey 12.5.1 + last version)
Previously experienced with 5.0 (several weeks ago) & just went back to 4.13.1 at the time (no issue there as well)
Tried both the Mac mouse and a traditional one
Back to 4.13.1...
