Side menu is missing

I'm new to 3d printing and I have noticed a problem. I'm currently using UltiMaker Cura 5.2.2, and I realized the side bar is missing.

I can't manipulate objects, rotate or even expand them. All I can do select it. do I have to download a plugin.

It should not be necessary to download a plugin to get these tools. It looks like some plugins that come bundled with Cura and should be enabled by default are not loading, and we need to find out why.

I just uninstalled it and redownloaded it again.  And it works now, I must have messed up the download somehow and it got corrupted.
