Posted (edited) · Pause Height idle for long period of time

So my printers are ender 3s with CR Touch. A lot of my print jobs are over 8 hrs and use multiple colors. I use pause break with BQ as the method to change the filaments at the set layer height. My issue is that sometimes I leave my printer printing while i am at work. If I am not near the printer to click on resume, it will just stay right above the rear left of the print and creates a blob. Is there a way that when I'm not near the printer it stops at another location that is not on above the print.

That would be a custom pause macro at the firmware level, not something you really set in Cura settings.

Additionally leaving a hotend heated and just sitting not extruding for a prolong period of time is very much not recommended. That's how you carbonize the material in the hotend causing clogging and even fires depending the material used.
