Posted (edited) · Material station filament change no longer works

hello dear ultimaker team,

I bought the material station to automate the extended filament change for large prints. This has worked fine for a year now. I've been having problems with the Material Station for the last two weeks. I only use Ultimaker Filament. 98% Tough PLA and PETG. I've already had over a thousand euros in misprints within 2 weeks because the print stops every time the loaded material is empty and the filament is completely removed from the spool. Then the ER59 error comes up and the printer doesn't load the same material to finish the print. No, the printer stops printing and starts the next one. The last 50cm of the filament then remain in the printer and must be removed manually. For a €2000 additional device that should do exactly that, it's a shame if it no longer works after 1 year. That's exactly what the Material Station should do, right?

Does anyone have the same problem or is there a solution to this problem, Ultimaker?

Printer: Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle

I am sorry you are having issues with your UltiMaker S5.
Unfortunately, UltiMaker does not provide support via the community.
I recommend reaching out directly via the support system.
    Here: https://support.makerbot.com/s/contactsupport
I recommend sending your machine log files when you contact them as its the first thing they will ask for (guide here: https://support.makerbot.com/s/article/1667337561393)

With that said, do you happen to have your flow sensors disabled? if they are off its possible the run out wont be triggered.
    The support article here: https://support.makerbot.com/s/article/1667338538036
has some troubleshooting steps for your issue.
Basically you want to make sure nothing is clipped to or restricting the movement of the feedtubes coming out of the decouplers on the back of the material station. If for example the air manager cable is clipped to one of them this could cause the issue.
