Posted (edited) · S5 Flow Sensors not working

I just had filament snap on the spool and the filament sensor did not detect the break, the print just continued without filament extruding. The sensor setting is enabled in settings.

Is there a way to check the sensors are working ?, i would have assumed that by enabling the sensor as soon as you load filament the printer should be checking for movement on the sensor and have its own self test ?, cannot understand how the print can run (assuming checking the sensor for output), then not respond when the filament snaps ?

thx

***update, the break was within the first 3 layers so the sensor does not work until after layer 3 (in case anyone else sees the same behaviour) ** this is not a bug ***
