Updated from v4 to v5 and slicing just stops now

I updated the version for MacOS from V4 to v5. When I did a slice of a modest model using V4 it completed the slice within a minute without trouble. When I updated to v5 and loaded the same model, and asked for a slice with the same config for the same printer, v5 starts but hangs halfway through slicing and blows the CPU usage to 100% plus plus...

Is there something I should know about this update? Am I naively thinking I could just exchange V4 for v5 and go to town? Any hot tips about how to migrate from v4 to v5 for me? I am glad to tinker a bit, but clearly this is a problem I was not prepared for.

    Sorry your having issues..
First I recommend making sure your system supports v5 - system requirements etc changed on that release.

Additionally one of the main changes of the v5 update... was well a full update to the core slicing engine which rendered most v4 profiles useless and in some cases broken. You might need to rebuild your profiles.
