Bad surface quality in dual mode

Hello everybody

I recently got my first IDEX printer, a Sovol SV04. So far, I'm pleased with it's quality. But I'm quite puzzled with the surface quality in dual mode.

In the picture, the left part was printed in dual mode, the right one in single mode. The settings for the nozzle we're the same, the material is the same. But the surface on the left one is much more coarse and the individial layers are much more visible.

Does anybody know why? Is it because of the "delay" between the layers, as it's switching constantly between the extruders? Or is it a precision problem of the printer while repositioning after switching? Interestingly, the dimensions vary a bit from those of single mode, but are consistant. So,  I printed like a dozen of these parts for calibrating and testing out different slicer settings, and the dimensions are consistent within 0.1mm, as long as i use the same mode. (Dual or single)
