Ultimaker S5 Air Manager - does it help reduce noise?

Just wondering if in addition to the other things it's designed to do, it helps reduce noise. Anyone tried it?

With an active air manager, the printer is even a bit louder.

We've had our air manager for quite some time already, but I do remember that it did reduce the sound noise significantly when we added it.

 

Yes, it does come with the continuous passive noise from the fan, but it reduced the peak noises from the travelling of the print head. So the sounds that are actually annoying are reduced significantly.
