Top/bridge layer wont stick to wall properly

Hi,

I am struggling to successfully print the following design:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4549664

The part that is failing for me are fun ducks top layers which are bridges as well (inside must be empty). The problem is that first top/bridge layer wont stick to the walls correctly as per attached pictures. I have managed to tune settings for bridges quite well, bridge test prints look quite good but it still fails with this print. I am printing using PETG which is my first problem. Probably would print just fine with PLA but I wanted to make it work with EPTG. Any ideas what else I could try?

What I have tried:

- adjusting fan speed/print speed/temp/bed temp to get optimal bridge performance

- enabling detect bridge in Cura

   - played with first skin layer settings (speed/flow)

- having bridge detect disabled and playing with TOP layer settings

   - changing top layer pattern to zig zag

   - changing skin overlap percentage to 50%

   - different top layer line directions

The other questions I have is if it is possible to have top layer lines directions like in mirror. In example below all top lines are default [45,135] which works well to the one to the right but not for the one to the left. Would be best if we could have it mirrored via central axis so the one to the left is [135,45]. Is it possible?

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
