ENDER 3 MAX

Good evening brothers, I need help, I bought an Ender 3 Max and I need to configure it in Cura Slice. I know that the Ender 3 Max presets come with it in cura, but I wanted some good settings, can anyone help me with that?

The default profile and the presets that come with are supposed to be good settings. Given how popular the Ender-3 series is, if you search the web for this sort of thing I'm sure there's already a hundred different posts on Reddit or something with peoples' advice for the best settings.

Here are the settings I use with my Ender 3 Max

    PLA

    Nozzle temp 200

    Bed Temp 60

    Retraction Distance 10

    PETG

    Nozzle temp 235

    Bed Temp 70

    Retraction Distance 5

    ABS

    Nozzle temp 235

    Bed Temp 80

    Retraction Distance 5

Note: I use Hatchbox Filaments so those setting may change for other filaments

Everything else is pretty much left at the default settings except for Infill, Supports, and Bed Plate adhesion which change as needed.

It really depends on the filament. The eSun PLA and PETG I use both print hotter than that. Although I'm not sure you should be changing retraction distance so greatly unless you're working with a particularly flexible material (like TPU) - PLA doesn't act anywhere near that differently.

There are no "best" settings overall. Every print requires different settings to come out at its finest. And you'll learn that with experience. But the built in quality profiles in Cura are a great place to start, because they're based on the experience of a lot of people collectively.
