hi! first post here... i hope you guys can help me on this one.

i'm a coockie cutter maker and i never used cura before. I'm on simplify 3d, that's the only slicer i could get the expect quality / result till now.

On cura, i get those nodes when the walls cross as well at start and end points.

I'm not shure what settings can help me get rid of those nodes... there's a pic of the "ok"cutter and the other one with the nodes.

all the best,

Bruno

I',m using 5.6 cura , have ender 3, ender 3 pro and ender 3 v3 se...

Have you made sure to set the retraction settings correctly for each printer (separately, because the E3V3SE uses a direct drive extruder which requires significantly less retraction)? It looks like it's just not retracting properly where it should be.

On my E3V3SE, I set the retraction distance to 0.8mm if I'm using PLA. For PETG or TPU I use 2mm because they're a lot stringier. If you have a decent quality filament it shouldn't make too much of a difference, but especially with a direct drive extruder, the less you retract, the better, because going back and forward going through the gears grinds it up a bit.

Also, the E3V3SE retracts faster than the others thanks to its direct drive extruder, I set it to 40mm/s (which is I think what Creality recommends).
