Hello all,

I have this problem with Cura 5.5 and 5.6. I set the wall to be 1 line but it keep generate 2 line. Happen on Cura 5.5 and 5.6.

Earlier version of Cura have no such problem. May I know are there any new setting that cause this? How can I make it to 1 line again? Please advice, thanks a million.

Firstly: if you want to make sure it's one wall, you should do that by setting Wall Line Count to 1 instead of adjusting Wall Thickness.

Secondly: Unless you've changed the settings, yellow in the line type view is top/bottom. Is that piece angled on the Z axis? It's really hard to tell specific problems from a tiny crop instead of having the model, or better yet, the Cura project file (.3mf, get it ready to print then go to File > Save Project) because that will contain your slicing settings.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I do tried setting the wall line to 1 too. The result is the same. This same setting in Cura 5.4 don't have this issue.

That's not really very helpful because "Cura version" is not an independent variable. There are so many factors involved like different quality profiles, different definitions for the same printer, etc.

If you want this to work in Cura 5.5 and up we really need to see that project file (from 5.6) to see if there's any settings which are obviously causing this. It is possible that it's a matter of 5.4 vs. 5.5 because there was an upgrade in the slicing engine in 5.5, but it's also possible some setting changes might fix that (in 5.5 or 5.6, go to Mesh Fixes > Maximum Resolution and set it to something reasonably low like 0.1mm).

Of course if you're happy just using 5.4 for it, then don't worry about it and keep doing what works for you.
