Custom Tree Support

I designed a Holder that had a lip at the top of it. The estimated time was 4:41 hrs without supports. I used  6 column supports which took the estimated time to 6:35 hrs. Material use went from10.1 m to 12.96m. Using the support adds additional material and time.  I would like to see a customizable tree support that the end of it could be started at any point on the object and go up from that point and attach to the bottom of the lip. An option like this would save time and filament.

Sounds like a neat feature, however you will need to share feature requests on github to ensure they are seen by the Dev Team.
