Posted · Print settings not saved

Hi there,

For some reason my print settings (temperature, speed, cooling) is not saved during the slicing. In cura my settings are correct, but when transferred to my printer (Ender 3 pro) these settings are lost.

I have no idea how this happens.

Help is much appreciated!

    Howdy!

If I'm understanding correctly, the temperature, speed, cooling, etc. settings you use when slicing and saving the gcode are ignored by the printer which does its own thing?

If you could upload a .3mf file of a project (in Cura, get it ready to print then go to File > Save Project) and the gcode (preferably of something you've already done and know has this problem, but not all of us remember to save the Cura project every for every print) that would help, just to make sure the settings are being saved correctly in the gcode file.

I do know that Ender printers sometimes think they know better than the gcode though - my Ender-3 V3 SE sometimes ignores the acceleration values in the gcode and zooms straight off (which is a problem, especially with stringier filaments like PETG or TPU, since they haven't had time to set), I reduced the maximum acceleration and speed on the printer's control panel, and it does at least respect those limits when it's ignoring the ones in the gcode file.
