ER998 error message on S7

Hello all.

 

I've been working with the Ultimaker S5, as well as the S7 with the material station for about 10 months, and I love them. Great quality prints, and reliable for the most part. Our company uses them for rapid prototyping of fixtures, and most of the time all measurements come out within +/- 0.005" of the CAD model which is awesome.

 

However, I just ran into an issue with our S7. Our Z-axis lead screw was dirty and making some noise as the bed rose, so I powered the printer off, cleaned and regreased the screw, and manually moved the bed up and down to move the grease along the length of the screw before turning it back on.

 

Issue:

After turning the printer back on, an ER998 error message popped up after about 5 seconds of the normal GUI showing. I hit refresh, and the same thing happened. I hit it again, and the same thing happened. I tried powering it off for 30 seconds by flipping the power switch, but the error message persists. Our printers are connected via ethernet. Since this has happened, I have only been able to connect to the S7 on Cura for about 2 seconds until it suddenly disconnects.

 

I'm currently running the latest firmware (8.3.1). Is anyone else having this issue, or could it be related to me manually moving the print bed while the printer is off?

Sorry to hear you are having issues.
It sounds like a flow sensor cable is loose or unplugged. 
These would be the plugs going to the feeders on the back of the machine.

Thank you so much for your prompt response. I removed the feeders and checked the flow sensor connections. They both looked fine, but I pressed at them a little anyways just in case. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the issue.

I'm trying to get the event log, but since I can't connect to the printer, I can't see it. Any other possibilities?
