Posted · S7/Method XL Printer Functionality without Cloud Access?

Caveat: I know there was a lot of discussion about Cloud printing previously. I'm just looking for information on what is, not what should or could be. 

 

We're looking at getting either an S7 or a Method XL. Due to company policies/laws (which I cannot alter) we are unable to utilize external cloud services. I know that a firmware update last year dramatically altered how the S7 operates without cloud access, and I've been unable to determine if/how the Method XL works without cloud access at all. 

 

Here's the question in short form:

Is it possible to use either the S7 or the Method XL without access to external networks? If so, what functionality is maintained/lost?
